Primary
objective of Kiosks is easy access to information
and to store transactional data of local
SHG(s), Farmers and other customers with
few other government and private services
as Bill Payment, Information about various
Government Programs and Schemes pertaining
to Health, Nutrition, Agriculture, Market
prices etc, and Promotion of Basic education.
Smart Card readers were empowered to read
and to write data on the Smart Cards. Simputer,
a low cost portable alternative to a PC
with Smart Card Reader were offered to field
workers to record the transactional information.
Kiosk and Simputer connectivity was ensured
for Reader to be used both in the field
as well as in the bank. Here, Smart Cards
were proposed to be used for multiple objectives
as Unique Identity, Passbook and Farmers
Credit Card, etc.
